Introduction

Grok’s mission is to understand the Universe. Adapter’s mission is to understand your world. Together, Grok and Adapter let you take on work at any scale, from a personal question to a customer-facing product to a large enterprise deployment with your nuanced tribal knowledge being ready before the first token.

Adapter is proud to announce being a Launch Partner of the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network with Mind now available via the native marketplaces.

Every team runs into the same problem. New teammates start cold, without the tribal knowledge everyone else has. On day one, a new hire has no idea which customer is quietly unhappy or which plan the team already tried and dropped. People pick up that kind of institutional knowledge over months and years. AI agents get up to speed faster than people because they can piece together an answer in the moment by rereading threads, tickets, and transcripts to find the one detail buried among thousands of lines. However, even when they find the crucial detail, agents see that piece of information without the causal chain of events that gives it meaning. Adapter Mind is a cognition layer that closes the gap between finding a detail and understanding it, proactively.

Here’s how Grok with Adapter Mind changes things. Picture a Bot you created this morning. You already connect your systems to Adapter Mind. Adapter Mind comprehends your data and structures producing a living, queryable system of understanding called a Mind. You ask your new Bot about your hardest account. Using your Mind, the Bot returns a short answer that cites a call from six weeks ago, last week’s escalation, and the contract date that makes both of them matter. Each claim in the answer links back to its source and you get a grounded synthesized answer instead of having to search for and process a pile of raw records at the time of your question.

That is the shift. Your Mind builds an understanding of your world before, the work before the work, you ask a question, so no question starts cold. Your Mind keeps improving on its own without being told to, and when you ask a question, both the detail and the understanding are present.

Adapter Mind keeps track of memory, context, and cause and effect. Every Bot, build, and app you connect to it draws from the same Mind. Grok Bot is the agent, and your Mind gives it a new kind of understanding to reason with. This same Mind is also directly queryable via simple APIs to bring the same understanding anywhere else that will benefit from it.

The true answer is rarely in one place

Ask where a business stands, and you get pieces of an answer. Those pieces live in email, chat, recorded calls, the CRM, and the tools you built yourself.

Take the hardest client account from earlier, the one your new Bot was asked about. The CRM marks it as healthy. The support desk shows three escalations this month, and their usage fell after the last release. None of that explains the risk. The explanation is one sentence buried on a recorded call six weeks ago. On that call, the customer’s new CFO said every vendor contract above a certain size gets re-bid in January. Your renewal is due in February.

Finding that sentence is like finding a piece of hay in a needle stack. Each system knows its own slice well, but the answer you need falls between the systems. An agent that has to read the whole stack pays for that reading every time you ask a question. A Mind, on the other hand, does the work of studying the whole stack first and keeps studying it as it changes.

Built-in connectors bring in Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Outlook, Apple Mail and Notes, Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub, recorded meetings such as Granola, and data from any custom applications or other system of record into your Mind. Custom connectors bring in everything else, such as your CRM, your billing system, your data warehouse, and your own product’s events. Adapter Mind is natively multi-modal supporting rich media as well.

Studying is more than predicting the next token. Language models do part of the work of studying your data, but the core of a Mind is a patented Cognition Graph. The Cognition Graph is a map that links every customer, person, decision, project, fact, and deal to the evidence behind it. Your Mind recognizes when two mentions refer to the same account. It uses network science to group related activity and flag activity that drifts from the usual pattern. It also tracks cause and effect, so it knows what led to what and which decision is the latest. Before a claim is added to your Mind, separate Comprehension and Judgement layers examine it. Finally, your Mind operates as a continuous living loop, maintaining itself and gaining new data every time you interact with it.

Grok Bot already learns how you like work done, and SpaceXSI’s best practices suggest asking a Bot to cite current data before a decision that matters. Your Mind gives every Bot those sources, delivered as a chain of claims connected to them rather than content and text context alone.

In Grok Bot

Here’s what that scenario looks like in Grok Bot. Go back to the Bot you created this morning and ask, “Where does the renewal with our hardest account stand?” The answer starts with the call from six weeks ago. It quotes the CFO and links the recording. It places the January re-bid next to the February renewal, the open escalations, and the usage drop. Each of these links to its source.

Grok Bot doesn’t have to dig through your inbox, your ticket queue, and three months of call transcripts on its own. It asks your Mind, which has already studied all of it. Fewer tokens go in, and the tokens that do go in keep the answer grounded in your data. Less search, while gaining more nuanced results.

From there, Grok Bot uses its own connections, or those already connected to your Mind, to draft outreach to the customer, book the call, and update the CRM. Grok Bot saves the plan to your Mind, where everything else built on your Mind can use it. Understanding compounds after every interaction. Adapter installs as a Grok Bot plugin, and plugins work for every Bot you run.

In Grok Build

Grok Build reads your code. Your Mind can study everything around that code, including the tickets, meetings, requirements and the nuanced decisions behind it.

Here’s a real example from our own team using Grok Build. A new Grok Build session normally starts cold. When we redesigned the Usage page in our own dashboard, we opened a Grok Build cloud agent with no code repository attached and nothing connected except our team’s Mind. With a simple question of “What is left and are there any unmanaged blockers for the Usage page 2.0?” The brief drew on our August kickoff, Adam’s September reviews, feedback from our all-hands, and four rounds of prototypes. It named who owned the work, who was building it, and who would review it. It laid out open blockers, defined what success looks like, and flagged the questions the team still hadn’t settled. Because everything it knew came from our Mind, the session spent its tokens on the change instead of on catching up.

The internal tools and custom application features Grok Build writes for you can use your Mind too. They connect to your Mind through MCP or two simple API endpoints. Once they’re running, they ask your Mind for answers instead of searching through raw data themselves, so they use far fewer tokens.

Understanding also flows from Grok Build into your Mind. Now every agent run, branch, and pull request becomes a record in our Mind, so the next agent or Bot will understand how each change got there.

Empower multiple apps off the same Mind

A Mind allows you to share learning across application surfaces with ease. You build the experience, and your Mind supplies the understanding. When a new learning comes in, it changes what your product knows and does where it is grounded in your Mind.

A few examples can be found here:

Each one runs on its own Mind accessed through a simple API call like this one.

curl https://api.adapter.com/v1/knowledge/ask \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $ADAPTER_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"query": "What has [Client] asked us for, and what did we promise? Highlight the items most at risk."}'

Taken further, advanced Metadata filters keep a call inside one customer’s or one project’s records, so an app pays only for the slice it needs. Watch tells it when a plain-language condition comes true, and writeback lets it add what it learns. Every workspace is isolated and encrypted at rest, you choose what goes into it, and you can run several, each with its own Mind, when teams or clients need hard separation.

Case study: how Galatiq runs on Grok + Mind

Galatiq, the premier SpaceXSI Implementation Partner, is a hard audience for a product like ours. The firm builds leading-edge AI agent systems on Grok models for enterprises to run in production. Its engineers had already built and tuned their own retrieval system. Its founders have deep backgrounds in graph systems, machine learning, and data science. They have built many large-scale, knowledge-centric systems for big enterprises. They know what it costs to build this kind of understanding and keep it current, because doing so means solving data ingestion, modeling, continuous learning, and deployment all at once. It also means solving them again every time the data changes.

In July, Galatiq gave Adapter one week to compete against its existing system. The team connected a Mind to the same data, including email, documents, calendar, GitHub, CRM, and Slack. They also added live data from internal applications through connectors they wrote themselves. Then they ran the two systems side by side. By the end of the week, they had decided to retire their own system. They moved the tools and agents Galatiq runs on to Adapter Mind. Their verdict was “significantly better and faster.”

“It has been a huge multiplier for us.”

Scott Kamra

Co-founder, Galatiq

Usage tells the rest of the story. Galatiq’s tools and agents now start each task from the firm’s Mind instead of a blank page. By mid-September, their Mind was handling more than 10,000 queries a day. Agents made 99 of every 100 of those queries, and people typing questions made the rest. Since July, Galatiq’s production usage has grown about 20% week over week. Today, Galatiq and Adapter are also announcing a new Strategic Alliance. Together, they will bring the same setup into the systems Galatiq builds for its clients, alongside Grok models, Grok Bot, and Grok Build.

Get started

More and more daily work runs through Bots, builds, and the apps teams ship. Underneath all of these tools, every team ends up wanting the same thing. They want a safe place for their knowledge that they control. Every tool they use should be able to reach it, and it should get smarter the longer it runs. A Mind is that place. Give it your whole world once, and its understanding stays up to date and remains yours wherever the work goes.

“Grok Bot and Grok Build already do real work. Adapter Mind does the work before the work so they can spend less time searching and more time doing.”

Adam Ghetti

Co-founder & CEO, Adapter

Adapter Mind is in early access and we are activating more new Minds daily.

  • In Grok Bot, open the Marketplace, add Adapter and sign in or create your Mind.

  • In Grok Build, run /add-plugin adapter-mind and sign in once in your browser. A rule built into the plugin tells Grok Build to check your Mind before it acts on anything that has history behind it.

  • Connect your sources at mind.adapter.com. The docs at docs.beta.adapter.com cover custom connectors, Search and Ask.
