This Notice at Collection and Privacy Policy (“Privacy Notice”) describes how Adapter Group, Inc. (“Adapter,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, processes, and retains personal information, as further described below (collectively, our “Information Practices”). This Privacy Notice also explains the privacy rights available to you under applicable privacy laws and how you may exercise those rights. We respect your privacy and are committed to providing transparent information about our Information Practices.
Adapter is headquartered in the United States and provides its website, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”) to help users access and use Adapter’s features and functionality. Through our website, Adapter provides information about its Service, enables users to contact us with questions or requests, and, if users so choose, allows them to create an account, access the Service, connect third-party services, or otherwise use Adapter’s features.
This Privacy Notice applies when you visit our website at www.adapter.com, create or use an Adapter account, or otherwise access or use the Service. It also applies to personal information that we collect when you communicate or interact with us by email, telephone, mail, web form, social-media channel, or other means; request information about the Service; submit a support request, question, feedback, or complaint; participate in a promotion or other activity that we offer; connect or authorize a third-party service or account in connection with the Service; or otherwise interact with us in connection with Adapter or our business.
This Privacy Notice also applies to personal information that we collect offline and may receive from third parties in connection with the Service and our business operations, including from users’ authorized connected services, service providers, analytics providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, identity-verification and security providers, business partners, and publicly available sources. Terms used in this Privacy Notice have the same or substantially similar meanings as under applicable privacy and data-protection laws or, where those laws use different terminology, the closest applicable meaning.
We recognize that privacy and data-protection requirements vary across jurisdictions, including among U.S. states. Accordingly, this Privacy Notice describes Adapter’s Information Practices on an organization-wide basis, and includes jurisdiction-specific rights, disclosures, and obligations where applicable. If a jurisdiction-specific provision conflicts with another provision of this Privacy Notice, the jurisdiction-specific provision will control to the extent of that conflict for individuals to whom it applies.
Most U.S. comprehensive privacy laws apply only to personal information processed about individuals acting in an individual or household context and may exclude certain personal information processed in a commercial or employment context. Where applicable law excludes information from the scope of consumer privacy rights, those rights may not be available for that information under this Privacy Notice.

NOTICE AT COLLECTION
The following notice identifies the categories of personal information that we may collect from you and the purposes for which we may use that information, including whether the information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising (for example, targeted advertising).
Most U.S. state comprehensive privacy laws apply only to personal information processed about individuals acting in an individual or household context and exclude certain information processed in a commercial or employment context. Where applicable law excludes information from the scope of consumer privacy rights, those rights are not available for that information under this Notice. This Notice does not apply to personal information Adapter collects in connection with an individual’s employment, job application, contractor engagement, or other workforce relationship with Adapter. Such information is addressed in a separate workforce privacy notice where required by applicable law.
General Personal Information
Categories of Personal Information Collected, Used, or Processed
Adapter may collect, use, or process the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers: For example, name, email address, telephone number, account or user identifier, Internet Protocol address, and cookie, browser, device, or other online identifiers.
(Pursuant to California Law) Personal Information Categories from Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e): For example, name and telephone number.
Internet or Other Similar Network Activity: For example, page paths, referrers, UTM and campaign parameters, pageviews, configured website events, and derived browser and operating-system information.
Approximate location information: For example, approximate location derived from your Internet Protocol address, including through website analytics.
Inferences: For example, inferences that Adapter generates from information you provide, information available through connected services you authorize, and your use of the Service, including inferred preferences or patterns relevant to providing personalized summaries, recommendations, responses, rankings, or actions requested by you.
Other information you provide: For example, your social-media account, company or organization, role, organization size, company or project website, information about what you are building or wish to build with Adapter, questions you submit, and information about how you heard about Adapter.
Purposes for Collection, Use, or Processing
We may collect, use, or process personal information for the following purposes:
To provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the website and Service.
To create and administer accounts, authenticate users, and provide requested features and functionality.
To respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and communicate with you about the Service, your account, and your requests.
To understand how users interact with our website, measure and analyze aggregated pageviews, events, referral sources, and campaign performance; troubleshoot errors; and improve website functionality, content, and user experience.
To maintain the security, integrity, availability, and safety of our website, Service, systems, accounts, and users.
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, misuse, unauthorized activity, and other unlawful conduct.
To maintain records of privacy requests and respond to requests to exercise applicable privacy rights.
To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

To receive, review, process, and respond to Get Access submissions; understand how requesters intend to use the Service; respond to questions and inquiries; and communicate with requesters about the Website and Service.
Personal Information Sold or Shared
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive Personal Information

Depending on the functionality you use and the accounts, devices, or third-party services you authorize Adapter to access, Adapter may collect or process the following categories of sensitive personal information:
Precise geolocation information: If you use the Adapter Life iOS application and enable location-dependent functionality, Adapter may access your device’s precise location to provide that functionality.
Account-Access Information: Account-login credentials, authentication tokens, or other credentials that permit access to an Adapter account or maintain authorized access to a connected account or service.
Contents of Communications: The contents of email, text, messaging, or similar private communications made available through services you authorize Adapter to access, where Adapter is not the intended recipient.
Other Sensitive Connected-Service Information: Information contained in communications, calendar entries, or other connected-service data, but only to the extent that the information itself constitutes sensitive personal information under applicable law.
Purposes for Collecting, Using, or Processing Sensitive Personal Information
Adapter may collect, use, or process sensitive personal information for the following purposes:
To authenticate users and establish, maintain, and secure connections to accounts and third-party services that users authorize;
To provide, personalize, operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service and the functionality requested by users;
To process information that users submit or authorize Adapter to access;
To build and maintain the Adapter Knowledge Base;
To generate summaries, recommendations, responses, or actions requested or authorized by users;
To provide scheduling, location-dependent, and other connected-service functionality requested by users;
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized activity, security incidents, and other unlawful conduct;
To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations; and
To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Adapter does not sell sensitive personal information. Adapter does not share sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising. Adapter does not disclose sensitive personal information to third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Where required by applicable law, Adapter obtains consent before collecting or processing sensitive personal information and provides any applicable right to withdraw that consent. Adapter does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that currently give rise to a right to limit its use or disclosure under California law.
Retention Periods
The period of time for which we retain personal information depends on the purposes for which we collect and use it. We will delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed to fulfill the purposes listed for each category, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted to: (a) comply with applicable laws, including tax, accounting, and recordkeeping laws; (b) establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; (c) prevent fraud and ensure the security of our services; or (d) fulfill another legitimate business purpose permitted by applicable state law. Where technical or operational limitations prevent complete deletion or de-identification, we will take reasonable measures to prevent further processing.
Notice of Sale and/or Sharing

PRIVACY POLICY
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide you with a comprehensive description of our online and offline practices regarding our Information Practices. You have certain rights to control how your personal information is used. This Privacy Policy describes your rights as they relate to our Information Practices as to your personal information and how you can exercise those rights.

Adapter may disclose sensitive personal information to the following categories of recipients, but only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above:
Hosting, cloud-storage, authentication, integration, security, AI-processing, and other service providers that process information on Adapter’s behalf;
Connected services, applications, or other recipients designated or authorized by the user;
Professional advisers, including attorneys, auditors, accountants, and insurers, where reasonably necessary to provide professional services to Adapter; and
Government authorities, regulatory agencies, law-enforcement authorities, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Adapter, its users, or others.
Adapter does not sell sensitive personal information. Adapter does not share sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising. Adapter does not disclose sensitive personal information to third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Where required by applicable law, Adapter obtains consent before collecting or processing sensitive personal information and provides any applicable right to withdraw that consent. Adapter does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that currently give rise to a right to limit its use or disclosure under California law.
Other Circumstances in Which We Disclose Personal Information
At Your Direction. We may disclose personal information to a third party with your consent or at your direction, including where you choose to interact with a third-party service or integration.
Business Transfers or Assignments. We may disclose or transfer personal information to a buyer, successor, or other entity as reasonably necessary in connection with an actual or proposed merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, assignment, sale, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock, including as a going concern or in connection with bankruptcy, liquidation, or a similar proceeding.
Legal, Regulatory, and Safety. We may disclose personal information to government authorities, regulatory agencies, law enforcement, courts, and other parties as reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or other legal process; (ii) respond to a government, regulatory, or law-enforcement inquiry, investigation, or request; (iii) establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; (iv) enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements; (v) prevent, detect, investigate, or respond to security incidents, identity theft, fraud, misuse, or other malicious, deceptive, or unlawful activity; (vi) protect the rights, property, or safety of Adapter, our personnel, our customers, or others; and (vii) otherwise as permitted or required by law.
Mobile information
Adapter may communicate with you by SMS when you choose to use that communication channel. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all categories of information we disclose and will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
De-identified and aggregated information
We may disclose aggregated or deidentified information that does not identify and cannot reasonably be linked to an individual, subject to applicable law and any contractual restrictions necessary to preserve the information’s aggregated or deidentified status.
Where we maintain de-identified data (data that cannot reasonably be used to infer information about, or otherwise be linked to, an identified or identifiable individual), we commit to the following: (1) we take reasonable measures to ensure the data cannot be associated with an individual; (2) we publicly commit to maintaining and using the data in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify the data, except for the purpose of determining whether our de-identification processes comply with applicable law; and (3) we contractually obligate any recipients of the de-identified data to comply with all applicable requirements regarding de-identified data.
Rhode Island Residents
Adapter does not sell personally identifiable information collected through the Website. Accordingly, Adapter has not identified any third parties to whom it has sold or may sell personally identifiable information collected through the Website.
Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information directly from you; automatically from your browser, device, network connection, and interactions with the Website and Service, including through scripts, log files, and analytics technologies; from third-party services that you authorize or connect to the Service, including email, calendar, authentication, location, and other integrated services; from other users who submit or make information available through the Service; and from service providers that support Adapter’s operations.
AI Processing Disclosure
Adapter uses automated processing, machine learning, and AI-enabled technologies to process information that users submit or authorize Adapter to access; build and maintain the Adapter Knowledge Base; generate requested summaries, recommendations, predictions, rankings, responses, and other outputs; and perform actions requested or authorized by users. Depending on the information processed and the functionality requested, this processing may generate inferences concerning a user’s preferences or patterns relevant to providing the requested functionality. Adapter does not use customer data to train, fine-tune, or improve any generalized or customer-shared artificial-intelligence model.
What We Sell to Third Parties or Share with Third Parties for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising and Right to Opt Out
During the preceding 12 months, we have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., targeted advertising).
Right to Opt Out of Sale, Sharing, or Targeted Advertising
Adapter does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Accordingly, Adapter does not provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because no such sale or sharing currently occurs.
Third Party Links
Our website may contain links to other websites or applications. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other websites or applications. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of any other website or application that collects personal information.
Your State Law Privacy Rights
Residents of certain states may have the following rights, where applicable.
Right to Know/Access: Certain states provide the right to request our disclosure of any of the following:
The categories of personal information we have collected about you;
The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected;
The business or commercial purposes for collecting, using, or disclosing personal information;
The categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information;
Where required by applicable law, the specific third parties to whom we disclose personal information; and
The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Correct: You may have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, considering the nature of the personal information and the purposes of our processing. We may request documentation from you to help assess accuracy. If we determine that the contested information is more likely than not accurate based on the totality of the circumstances, we may deny the request and explain the basis for our decision.
Right to Delete: You may have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from or about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law. If we cannot fully comply with a deletion request, we will explain why and delete the information that is not subject to an exception.
Right to Opt Out of Sale, Sharing, or Targeted Advertising: You may have the right to “opt out” of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or the processing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising (as those terms are defined by applicable state law). Adapter does not currently sell personal information or share or process personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we have collected or used your personal information based on your consent, you may have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Upon receiving your withdrawal request, we will stop processing the applicable personal information as soon as practicable, but not later than 15 days after receipt.
Right to Opt Out of Certain Profiling: Where provided by applicable law, you may have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Adapter does not currently use personal information for that type of profiling.
Right to Data Portability: You may have the right to obtain a copy of certain personal information in a portable and, where technically feasible, readily usable format.
Right to Appeal: If we deny your request to exercise any of the rights described above, you may have the right to appeal that decision by submitting an appeal request to us.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your state privacy rights. However, we may still offer you certain financial incentives permitted under applicable state law, such as discounts, rewards, premium features, loyalty accounts, or club card programs, which may result in different prices, rates, or quality levels.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Making Requests to Know/Access, Delete, or Correct: You may exercise your rights, as applicable under state law, by submitting a verified consumer request to know information (and to receive your personal information in a portable format), to correct information, or to request deletion.
The response to a request to know will provide the personal information we have collected and maintained about you, in a portable format, unless an exception under applicable state law applies. Please note that, depending on the applicable state law, we may not be required to provide personal information to you if you make multiple requests in a certain time period.
You may submit an applicable privacy-rights request through the methods identified below. If you have an Adapter account, you may also use available account settings to exercise certain rights or manage certain privacy choices. You are not required to create an Adapter account to exercise your privacy rights. You may submit a request by contacting us at support@adapter.com.
We will verify your request using the information you provide in your communication. If you submit a request by a different method or if it is deficient in a manner unrelated to verification, we will provide you with information on how to submit the request or remedy any deficiencies. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request. If you have an Adapter account, where permitted by applicable law, Adapter may verify your identity by requiring you to log in to or otherwise authenticate your account and may match information provided with the request against information associated with that account.
Once we receive your verifiable consumer request, we will confirm receipt within 10 business days and provide information about our verification process. We will respond to the request within the time required by applicable law if we can verify your identity or authority to make the request. For deletion requests, we may ask you to separately confirm that you want us to delete your personal information.
Making Requests to Opt-Out; Opt-Out Preference Signals and Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms: Adapter does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Accordingly, Adapter does not provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or other opt-out mechanism for these activities.
Withdrawing Consent: If we have collected or used your personal information with your consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us at support@adapter.com.
Appealing a Denial of a Request: If we deny or decline to take action on your verified consumer request, you have the right to appeal. To submit an appeal, please email us at support@adapter.com within 90 days of receiving our denial. Within 45 days after receipt of your appeal, we will inform you in writing of the action taken or not taken and provide a written explanation of the reasons for our decision. If we deny your appeal, we will also provide an online mechanism or other method through which you may contact your state Attorney General or applicable regulatory authority to submit a complaint.
Using an Authorized Agent to Submit a Verified Consumer Request
California: Only you, or a natural person or a business entity registered with the Secretary of State to conduct business in California that you have authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. If you use an authorized agent, you may provide a power of attorney executed pursuant to California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465. If a power of attorney that meets those provisions is not submitted, you will be required to provide the authorized agent with signed permission to submit a request, verify your identity directly by submitting a verified consumer request according to the procedures in the section “How to Exercise Your Rights,” and directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. Other States: If you use an authorized agent, you may provide a power of attorney executed pursuant to applicable state law. If a power of attorney is not submitted, you may be required to provide commercially reasonable identification of your identity and evidence of your authorized agent’s authority to act on your behalf. For example, you may need to provide the authorized agent with signed permission to submit a request, verify your identity directly by submitting a verified consumer request according to the procedures in the section “How to Exercise Your Rights,” and directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request by contacting us at support@adapter.com.
Opt-out of Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in each marketing email or by contacting us at support@adapter.com. Adapter will process the request within the period required by applicable law. Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent Adapter from sending transactional, service-related, security, legal, or other non-promotional communications.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and Adapter does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If Adapter learns that it has collected personal information from an individual under 18, Adapter will take appropriate steps to delete the information as required by applicable law. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a minor has provided personal information to Adapter may contact us using the information below.
Changes to Our Privacy Notice
We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this privacy notice, we will post the updated notice on the website and update the notice’s “Last Revised/Reviewed” date. If we make material changes, we will notify you through a method we regularly use to interact with you.
